Today is the 2nd China Tourism Day. To celebrate the special day, Seven Star Park, Elephant Trunk Hill, Fupo Hill, Diecai Hill, Princess City, Wolf Totem, Watermoon Cave, Jianshan Temple, Xiangshang Temple and etc all together 15 tourist attractions are all free for Guilin citizens.

From March 25 to Oct 27, 2012 Guilin Liangjiang International Airport stars the autumn schedule. 5 new route will launch. There will be 556 flights every week.

This summer 5 flight route will be added. They are Guilin-Ningbo-Qingdao, Guilin-Shijiazhuang-Shenyang, Guilin-Chongqing-Xi'an, Guilin-Wenzhou and Kunming-Guilin-Xiamen.

Guilin-Wuxi flight and Hong Kong- Guilin flight will return to operate from April 10th and May 1st.

Zhengzhou-Guilin-Sanya air route has been launched. The route is operated on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday by China South Airlines. The flight number is CZ3641/2. It departs from Zhenzhou at 13:40, arrive in Guilin at 15:40, departs from Guilin at 16:30, arrives in Sanya at 18:00 then departs from Sanya at 19:00, arrives in Guilin at 20:30, departs from Guilin at 21:15 and arrives in Zhengzhou at 23:15. Plus the current flights of Zhengzhou, Guilin and Sanya there are 10 flights now for this route.

Zhengzhou is the capital city of Henan Province in central China. The famous Shaolin Temple is in Zhengzhou. Sanya is the most important tourist city in Hainan Island.

On the Chinese new year eve in Yangshuo County tourists from all over the world and locals attended long table fest. There were about 2000 people. Locals bring traditional dishes for tourists.  All of the people there enjoyed a very tradtional Chinese New Year and Chinese culture.

Since 8:30AM 4th November 2011 Qinshitan Reservoir have stated to add water to Li River to make sure of the water level of the river in dry season.

Suffering from bad weather Li River had no strong raining this year. Qinshitan Reservoir water is more than 35% less than recent years.

From 21st October Li River water level started to go down. If the flow is less than 30square meter/s the quality of Li River cruise tour will not be very good.

On 2nd November Guilin Vice Major Chen Lihua met Jet Star CEO Chloe in Lijiang Water Hotel.

Jet Star has launched Singapore-Guilin flight since 3rd November 2010. The number of Singaporean tourists to Guilin increased. From Jan to Sept this year 40,000 Singaporeans visited Guilin and increased 82% compared to last year.

Mrs. Chen and Chloe agreed to develop more cooperation.

From 00:00 of 1th November Guilin Railway Station will start the new schedule of trains. Passengers are advised to check the notice board when buying tickets.

There are the new schedule for some important trains. Train T6 Nanning-Beijing West departs from Guilin at 13:05 instead of 13:28. Train T8721 Guilin-Nanning  departs from Guilin at 13:47 instead of 13:21. Train K394 Kunming-Guilin North departs from Guilin at 14:22 instead of 12:42.

On October 26 evening The 3rd Guilin International Scenery Culture Tourism Festival Opening Ceremony was held in Guilin Stadium.

UN World Tourism Organization executive director, China Tourism Bureau vice director general, relevant leaders from Guilin, Guangxi, Hunan, Guangdong and Chongqing and as well as the tourism business groups from Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Taiwan, USA, Canada and New Zealand and etc attend the opening ceremony.

During the festival Guilin will show the world its beautiful scenery, splendid culture and colorful ethnic groups' custom.

China West Air will launch the daily Chongqing-Guilin-Fuzhou flight route from Oct 30th 2011. The flight number is PN6215/6. It will depart from Chongqing at 15:00 and arrive in Guilin at 16:15; depart from Guilin at 17:00 and arrive in Fuzhou at 18:40; depart from Fuzhou at 19:30 and arrive in Guilin at 21:35; depart from Guilin at 22:15 and arrive in Chongqing at 23:35.

At the beginning of the launch of this new route China West Air will offer great discount for passengers. Chongqing-Fuzhou 770CNY up, Fuzhou-Chongqing 610CNY up, Chongqing-Guilin 440CNY up, Guilin-Chongqing 370CNY up, Guilin-Fuzhou and Fuzhou-Guilin 830CNY up.

Cruise Dijing will start operating on Li River from tomorrow(Oct 20th, 2011). It will be the most luxury cruise on Li River.

It took 3 years to build the Cruise Dijing. The cruise is big, bright and comfortable. There are 60 couches in it. The dinning service is provided Guilin's 5 star hotel -  Sheraton.

Li River Cruise Company said, they will add another 2 or 3 highest level luxury cruises next year.
